Printer Driver Updates

Brother

Brother printer drivers - for a variety of printing/scanning devices. The Mac OX X Support page has links to updated drivers for different versions of Mac OS X.

Canon

Canon Printer Drivers are available on the Canon USA website. Select Printers as the category, then choose the appropriate printer model from the pull-down list.
Compaq
 Drivers for Compaq inkjet printers are available on the Hewlett Packard web site. Select the type of printer from the list, then follow the links to locate drivers for a particular printer.
Epson
 Epson Printer Drivers are available on the Epson USA website. Click on Drivers & Downloads.
Hewlett-Packard
 Drivers for Hewlett-Packard inkjet printers are available on the Hewlett Packard web site. Select the type of printer from the list, then follow the links to locate drivers for your printer. (Drivers for Photosmart printers are under their own printer type.)
Lexmark
 Lexmark Printer Drivers are avialable on the Lexmark website. Enter the printer model and operating system following the examples shown on the page.
Mac OS X 10.2.x
 MacUpdate contains links to the latest printer drivers for Mac OS X.

Gimp-Print and GhostScript are "high quality printer drivers for Canon, Epson, Lexmark, and PCL printers". Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2 and above) installers for Gimp-Print and GhostScript are free. If your printer manufacturer is providing printer drivers for Mac OS X, use them. If drivers are not available, then try Gimp-Print.
